Service is excellent and personel have all kind of information about Disney. You can see fireworks every night. Well worth the price and would stay again. The allure is being a mile from Disneyland, and it’s all worth it! So close that every night I watched fireworks from my rig or the pool. It’s a great place, it’s just right in the middle of town, next to an elementary school and highway.

I always felt safe, saw several Anaheim Police officers patrol during the day, and there is an employee that drives around and keeps watch all night long as well. The campground itself is laid out kind of weird, but it works well. All sites are concrete pads and level. Plenty big enough for my trailer, vehicle and extra car from family that visited.

Full hook ups, all services worked well, water pressure was even pretty high. Cable tv with several channels. There is a picknic table at the site, no grill or fire ring as no campfires due to city ordinances, but it would be pretty odd to have a campfire in the middle of town.

A Forest Adventure Pass or any other public lands pass accepted by the Forest Service is required for remote camping and must be displayed on your vehicle unless vehicle is parked in a free area or on the last Saturday of every month.

The general rules for remote camping are to camp at least feet away from springs, water, meadows, trails and forest roads.

Your camp should be more than 0. Camp out of sight of others and do not disturb them. Fire rings are provided but may be used only when the fire danger level permits – call the Ranger Station, , for information. For positives, the sites were adequately spread out, and I was able to find an open site for satellite TV. Verizon signal was excellent for both voice and data. I was told that even weekends in fall and winter are not crowded because there is no swimming or water contact activities allowed on the lake during fall, winter, or spring. I came in without a reservation and basically had my pick of sites.

For negatives, the power went out in the middle of the night, but it was a campground-wide event, not just my site. By the time I left at 9: The biggest negative is that this place needs some grounds maintenance. There is nothing but dirt between sites–any grass or ground cover having been worn away by heavy usage. Leaves need to be raked, and trash raked and picked up.

There were a lot of small things like bottle caps, smashed cans, and bits of paper and other things hiding underneath the leaves that blew around.
